We're adding in a whole new section to this course covering QGis. QGis is not an autonomous flight app. However you can develop large scale maps, create shape files, and generate flight paths with QGis and then export the data to a flight app of your choice.

For large scale projects, QGis is also great for managing the overall project area, and documenting smaller slices of the project. You can plan full flights that cover larger areas, and then take smaller segments of the map to combine together later. You can also import relevant data from your drone missions like GeoTiffs, DEMs, and DSMs
